WARNING: Major Spoilers ahead for the latest episode of The Walking Dead’s seventh season, ‘Something They Need’!
This episode had plenty of action, plenty of great dialogue, and it set up an epic conclusion to the season. The only downside though, is that everyone has to wait a whole week to find out how it all ends.
However, fans of The Walking Dead don’t just sit back and relax during the weekdays. No, the next seven days will be filled with speculation, theories, and a ton of anticipation.
We thought we’d join the club, so here are five predictions for next week’s episode of The Walking Dead.
At this point, it’s pretty obvious that Sasha isn’t going to make it out of the Sanctuary alive. Negan has too much control, and she’s got too much stacked against her.
What matters now, is Sasha doing as much damage as she can before she escapes. If she can even disrupt Negan’s flow of things, she’s going to have won the battle.
Start saying your goodbyes to Sasha now.
Dwight Takes A Beating
Dwight has a long way to go to prove that he’s not loyal to Negan anymore, and it doesn’t help that everyone in Alexandria wants to kill him.
Think about everything Dwight has done to Rick and the others. There’s no way they just believe him and move on. He will have to be punished in order to earn their trust.
Rick could let Daryl take out some anger on Dwight, and compliance would prove Dwight doesn’t want to go back to the Sanctuary.
Negan Kills Eugene
Eugene is confused, he’s scared, and it doesn’t exactly look like things will end up being pleasant for him.
If he stays loyal to Negan, he betrays anyone he’s ever loved. This doesn’t exactly help the difficult decisions he’s made.
If he helps out his friends, Eugene is a dead man. Sasha has the poison Eugene made, and Negan will likely discover it. If he traces it back to Eugene, there’s no recovering.
Carol Confronts Daryl
During the little bit of time they spent together this season, Daryl lied to Carol about what happened to Glenn. She now knows the truth, but there will need to be some mending between the two friends.
If the communities align in this episode, Carol is going to have something to say to her longtime friend.
She might be okay, telling him she understands why he lied. However, she could also be upset, asking why he chose to betray her trust.
The show has been leading to war all season long, and it’s finally upon us. Negan knows that Rick is preparing for battle, and Rick finally feels ready to take on his enemy.
At some point in this episode, the two factions are going to head to war. It’s hard to think that this season ends without some bloodshed, especially after this enormous set up episode.
Hopefully, next season will debut in the middle of the action we’ve all been waiting so long for.
