The seventh season of Game of Thrones is about to wrap location filming and new set photos reveal some upcoming effects for HBO’s hit show.

Twitter user Kevin Patterson snapped some shots of the shooting taking place in Belfast, Ireland, utilizing green screen for visual effects mapping.

Particularly noteworthy is the picture of what appears to be a portion of a dragon’s head with climbing mounts fastened to the side.

Emilia Clarke and other principal actors weren’t seen on set, but it’s safe to say that Daenerys Targaryen will once again by riding a dragon into battle when the new episodes return.

It should be noted that Belfast’s Titanic Studios is a large lot, so the location may not mean much. However, Belfast is also home to the shooting locations of Winterfell and the Wall.

With all storylines converging and the characters coming closer and closer to clashing as the show nears its end, could the significance of shooting dragon VFX scenes in Belfast mean that Dany and her army are coming to Winterfell?

No spoilers, just lots of speculation, which is always a lot of fun when it comes to George RR Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire.
